As predicted by View Textile Magazine for 2012......
- Striking Stripes - More for summer 2012 but may filter down to the autumn/winter months. The clean fresh aesthetic of stripes is one of on strongest print predictions. Expect to see this print hit all levels of the market.
- The Blues - Designers have embraced blue in a whole new and exciting way in the last round of both men and women's catwalk shows. They would never go as far to say that blue is the new black. Sporty to smart to day wear.
- Gamine - Take a tunic and wear it with cigarette trousers or thigh high boots. Youthful and modern nothing could be simpler.
- Tapered - A silhouette that depends on the tightest of ankles giving permission to add volume across the hips in deep pleated trousers or popping over an extended shoulder jacket.
- Body con - In sharp contrast to the easy and relaxed shapes which dominate the seasons forecasts, there's an option for women with power on the minds. Stride out in stretch pieces or vamp things up with a curvy pencil skirt and tops shaped to the body.
- Colours - Jersey blues....Indigo's, melange and navy are the blues of preference. Gold, Bronze, Yellow....watch for copper hues as well as wintry mustard yellows. And the khaki story is here again.
